She cries, as her coffee spills

All over the freshly clean floor.

For goodness sake!

He exclaims, as the printer

Declares itself to be jammed again.

For goodness sake!

I say, as the computer

Crashes just before I save my work.

We cry out

For the sake of goodness.

For how is she

To focus on goodness,

When it seems like everything

is about to fall apart?

And how is he

To focus on goodness,

When there is just

Never enough time left

And how am I

To focus on goodness,

When all the goodness

I just made is gone in an instant.

For the sake of goodness,

all stop.

For the sake of goodness,

all breathe.

For the sake of goodness,

all rest.
