I suppose they could

Talk about how

Delightful your smile

Was.

About how

In your younger days

The word

Handsome

Could barely do your

Charming face justice.

Because words

Are never enough

To tell others how truly

Wonderful

People we love are.

Words can’t

Communicate

The small moments

Of stolen licorice,

Chocolate icing,

And a fruitful feijoa

Tree.

And yet

We continue

Using

Words.

Because love

Makes the words

Worth

It.
